I had been to the Holy Sepulcher Church many times before but it was only in a recent trip that I saw this special marker below.
It is an Armenian shrine which marks the place where the three Mary’s stood during the Crucifixion of Jesus and where the Blessed Mother fainted when she witnessed the death of her son.
From the shrine, I drew an arrow up to the upper level of the church where it is believed Jesus was crucified. Below is the altar where you can find the stone on which the Cross was planted.

The three Mary’s present during Christ’s crucifixion were Mary, the mother of Jesus, Mary wife of Cleopas, and Mary Magdalene. The Three Marys have been featured in numerous pieces of art such as Peter von Cornelius’s The Three Marys at the Tomb.
